Centennial student loves T.O.A lot of celebrities are promoting Toronto right now. Centennial College student Kaye Shitami isn't famous, but what she has to say about her favourite town amounts to a pretty helpful guide. |

By focusing on the restaurants and fun spots that she frequents, Shitami, a second-year new media design student at Centennial's Centre for Creative Communications, has created a real-world guide that most 20-year-olds can relate to.
Shitami's Student Guide to Toronto is an online resource for any student who may be new to Toronto, or even of interest to people who think they know Toronto but who need some pointers now and then.
Illustrated with co-lourful photography taken around the city, Shitami takes you on an excursion to Toronto's better known attractions, shopping centres, restaurants and night life. There are numerous links to other informative sites, including transit information and weather updates.
"Many of the things featured on my site are personal favourites and are probably known to a lot of Torontonians. But I think I've uncovered a few lesser-known attractions that might surprise people," Shitami says. "Did you know that the Pacific Mall is the largest Chinese shopping centre in North America?"
By putting her guide front and centre on the college's main Web site, Kaye hopes to see it used by international students curious about Toronto, as well as anyone who wants some insights into one of the most cosmopolitan cities in the world.
