The scholarship goes to a Conestoga student who is a PMAC student member and who achieves the highest academic standing in the principles of buying course during the second year of program studies.
Wrobel is a 2000 graduate of Kitchener's Forest Heights Collegiate Institute. She enrolled at Conestoga in the fall of that year and is in the final year of the materials and operations management program.
Currently, she is on a co-op work term with Transfreight Inc. of Cambridge. She received the scholarship cheque from Central Ontario District President Sandra Stewart, who is employed with NCR Canada in Mississauga.
PMAC is a professional organization that has more than 300 members in the Central Ontario District and more than 7,000 across Canada. The association views Conestoga's materials and operations management program as dedicated to high educational standards in preparing future professionals, grants PMAC recognition to students who complete the principles of buying course, and grants Conestoga's graduates a number of course equivalency credits in the association's professional development program.
In the business administration - materials and operations management program, students gain the skills and knowledge for careers in the highly specialized and expanding fields of production and inventory control, purchasing, traffic management of goods and supplies, logistics and value analysis.

Three programs will be outlined during the evening: the four-year Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BScN), offered under an agreement with the University of Windsor; the three-year clinical experience Massage Therapy Program; and the two-year clinical experience Practical Nursing (RPN) program.

Enrolment in full-time, post-secondary programs at Conestoga College stands at 5,863 as of September 2003.
This marks an increase of 4.45% over the September 2002 figure, and an increase of 11.46% over the September 2001 figure. The incoming, first-year group of 3,147 is the largest ever at Conestoga.
By academic division, the total enrolment figures are 1,774 in the School of Business; 1,673 in the School of Health Sciences, Community Services and Biotechnology; 1,651 in the School of Engineering and Information Technology; and 765 in the School of Liberal and Media Studies.
Looking at the five largest groupings of related programs, business administration programs have an enrolment of 1,316, nursing programs an enrolment of 644, law enforcement programs an enrolment of 390, electrical and electronics engineering programs an enrolment of 361, and mechanical engineering programs an enrolment of 332.
These figures represent only a portion of Conestoga's enrolment. In academic year 2003/04, Conestoga expects to serve 2,500 apprenticeship program students, 400 preparatory program students, 350 students in skilled trades programs, 34,000 registrants in part-time, continuing education courses and programs, and 8,000 registrants in customized training activities for businesses, industries and organizations.
