Making Connections

Embracing Small Business Month

To acknowledge, celebrate and support small businesses, October is dubbed Small Business Month across Canada. During this month you'll see a variety of federal, provincial, municipal, business and non-profit organizations offering different events to assist and celebrate small business owners.

If you're thinking about starting a business or already runone, it's the best time of year to participate in some fantastic opportunities to build your venture.

Key organizations behind Small Business Month include Canadian Chambers of Commerce, Boards of Trade, Enterprise Centres, business incubators, financial institutions and all levels of government.

You'll find plenty of seminars, workshops, small business trade shows, networking events, award ceremonies, dinner galas and panel discussions to help boost your small business. While some events are free, others may include a small fee.
