On Thursday, Oct. 26 up to 75 employers will gather at the International Centre in Mississauga to recruit, interview and hire qualified candidates. More than 1,000 positions will be available ranging from entry-level to management in industries such as health care, skilled trades, government, hospitality and administration.
The unique approach to the jobsMARKET is that it offers job seekers direct access to employers where they can ask questions and apply for current openings. Employers will do their part to inform job seekers about the hiring process.
"The job search process is different today than it was even 10 years ago," says Aimee Capozzi, event co-ordinator. "Today, job searching is a multi-tiered process that involves up-front screening of your specific job interests, resume preparation, networking, interviewing skills and follow-up techniques. The 2006 jobsMARKET provides the unique opportunity for job seekers and employers to meet face-to-face in order to make the right employment match and discuss fit right away."
Participating employers include Bayshore Home Health, G4S Security Services, General Paint Corp, HDS Retail North America, Iovate Health Sciences Inc., The Bentley Group, Peel Regional Police, Money Mart Co. and many more. Community agencies offering employment services will also be on site.
2006 jobsMARKET takes place at the International Centre in Mississauga at 6900 Airport Rd. Hall 6 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and is free to the public. Come early, bring plenty of resumes and dress for success. The event is fully accessible. Information is available at www.tcet.com/jobsmarket or toll free at 1-866-403-8320 ext. 3302.
