The London Economic Development Corp. is holding a seminar to assist employers recruiting or transferring staff from outside of Canada.
"There are a number of companies recruiting talent from outside of Canada," says Jeny Wallace, director of workforce development at the LEDC. "A tightening labour market means companies have to become creative and flexible in attracting and retaining staff."
Topics to be covered include an update of Canadian immigration law and policy, documentation requirements, applying for work permits, consular processing, business visitor criteria and spousal work permits, to name a few subjects.
The seminar will be held April 11 at the Four Points Sheraton on Wellington Road from 8.30 a.m. to 2.30 p.m. with lunch included. There is no cost to attend but registration by April 6 is needed.
