Do you know your strengths, weaknesses and best job fits?
To find out, take this test by eCareerFit, the career assessment experts.

For more than 10 years, the Canada Career Consortium has been putting together a growing selection of valuable resources -- all free -- to provide job-seekers with an edge.

This year's theme, "Focus on the Journey," emphasizes that job-hunters be open to different opportunities throughout their career lives.

Canadians can access several events across the country to learn about various professions, starting their own business, preparing for job interviews, networking and much more.

The event coincides with the release of Canada Prospects, a yearly career resource book full of tools, activities and up-to-date career information.

With the economy moving in an uncertain direction, and the employment scene relatively stagnant, job-seekers across Canada are sometimes left asking themselves, "Where do I go from here?" in the frustrating search for employment or career advancement.

Help has arrived in the form of National Find-a-Job Week, launched by Canadian staffing company The People Bank.

The company has been holding free seminars and meetings in each of its eight national offices starting last Monday, until Friday, Nov. 8. The information sessions cover all you need to know about finding a job in this unpredictable employment market, including tips that only industry insiders can deliver.
