Her company, Change From Within (www.changefromwithin.ca) based out of Burlington, Ont., practices Core Belief Engineering .
Core Belief Engineering (CBE) is results-based psychotherapy that helps individuals identify and change limiting subconscious beliefs that may be holding their problems, issues and destructive patterns in place.
"Our beliefs dictate our reality and who we are," Bartkiw says. "CBE works well to resolve anxiety, worry, fears, phobias, low self-confidence and low self-esteem."
Using a gentle question and answer technique, CBE assists people in changing subconscious belief systems they no longer want and replaces them with positive beliefs.
CBE sessions are one day long. CBE takes clients beyond analysis and coping tools to actually assist people to solve their issues and get on with the business of living their lives.
Coming from an entrepreneurial family, Bartkiw says she's always had a strong desire to create her own business.
"Being in business for myself allows me to do things my way," she says. "I determine my own worth and value. It also allows my creativity to flourish."
Truly believing her business would succeed, Bartkiw got up and running using her personal savings. "I cashed in my investments and have never looked back," she says.
She says aspiring entrepreneurs need to believe in their personal potential.
"You need to believe in your worth, abilities and your product or service," Bartkiw says. "You must also search out and address any negative beliefs swimming around in your mind that may sabotage your success, such as worrying about the high failure rate of startups. Left unchecked, that belief could become your reality."
