Dear Mrs. Lerner,
I am writing to express my interest in working at your clinic as a psychologist. I read on your website that the Lerner Clinic treats people who have been the victim of criminal acts and have subsequently suffered post-traumatic shock. Since I have studied this subject for years, I'm very interested in working at your clinic.
I have a PhD in Psychology and am member of the British Columbia Psychological Association. While writing my doctoral thesis on post-traumatic shock, I worked with Dr. Nadia Gannon on a research project that studied the effects of eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR). Moreover, in my work as an emergency counsellor, I learned how to develop treatment plans for people with different personality disorders. I'm very interested in using the knowledge I acquired over the years to help your patients.
