Small biz de-clutters its clients

If your home is suffocating with too much stuff, entrepreneur Linda Witlox can help you to breathe again.

She owns De-Clutter2clean (www.declutter2clean.ca), a company that helps clients to transform their lives from "chaos to tranquility" by de-cluttering, purging, sorting and organizing all the stuff in their homes.

"Our customers are typically people looking to boost functionality within their homes, or people looking to downsize from one residence to another," Witlox says. "Our services will help anyone to de-stress and enjoy a home that's organized, efficient and clutter-free."

North American consumers are notorious for the amount of stuff they accumulate. As a result, the average family home is bursting at the seams with mountains of toys, sports gear, hobby equipment, furniture, cookware, clothes and more.

"As soon as I meet new clients I notice right away that they've suffered enough with household chaos," Witlox says. "They want their home to become a more functioning space."

With 30 years' experience organizing commercial operations, Witlox says this business is her passion. "I became an entrepreneur because I enjoy helping homeowners. The rewards are remarkable when I see the expression on their face once our work is done."

Since opening for business last year, Witlox says she's learned the value of networking each day. "Develop relationships so that your services will be noticed," she advises. "Get out there and connect with people who can help build your business with their own contacts ... you never know who you will meet."

With so much work coming in, Witlox says her immediate future plans include hiring new employees who share her passion for organizing peoples' lives. "I'm optimistic about the future of my business because there's such a demand for what we do," she says.
