Answer: They both are.
According to an online survey sponsored by SnagAJob.com, an online provider of hourly jobs, the "slacker" and the "kiss-up" tied for the most annoying co-worker, each garnering close to one-third (32.6%) of the total vote.
More than 7,000 people responded in less than two weeks (no slackers here) to the question: "Who's the most annoying co-worker?"
According to the rumour mill (and confirmed by the actual results), the "gossip hound" came in third with 18.4%, followed by the sonorous tones of the "loud-talker" with 11.8% of the vote.
Coming in last was the "hypochondriac" with 4.6% -- no doctor's note needed.
"Work should be fun and as this survey makes clear, it's not fun being surrounded by Eddie Haskells and George Costanzas," said Shawn Boyer, founder and CEO of SnagAJob.com. "Either one can hurt your company's culture and bring down morale."
